Solutions Engineer (Remote)

Preferable Location: New York   |   Full Time

Overview


FindMine, Inc. is looking for a talented solutions engineer with a passion for retail, machine learning, and SaaS software to support our customers in their use of our software. This person will work closely with Engineering, Customer Experience, Product and Sales groups to ensure prospective customers and existing customers have thoughtful technical guidance and are receiving maximum value from our services.  This is a permanent, work-from-home position with Eastern Time Zone / New York office hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the FindMine platform and effectively translate that knowledge into technical solutions for customers and fellow members of the team.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the interoperability and data flow between the FindMine platform and the commerce and marketing systems in use by FindMine customers.

  • Assist customers during new implementations and upgrades of FindMine services by clarifying technical requirements, developing and supporting the execution of technical plans

  • Collaborate on technical integrations with third party software systems to enable email, website, in-store, and advertising experiences powered by FindMine through the use of APIs, plug-ins/extensions, and playbooks.

Requirements

  • Experience with modern web architecture including:

    • Interacting with Restful APIs

    • HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and common frontend frameworks

    • Data management including ETL, schemas and common formats, ongoing processing

    • Telemetry data collection and analytics

  • Experience with enterprise website software including:

    • Tag management and A/B testing

    • Visitor segmentation, ad targeting and campaigns

    • Site analytics, email/other marketing communications

  • Experience with design and user experience concepts including:

    • User flows and funnels

    • Design patterns 

    • Responsive design 

    • Accessibility requirements and compliance

  • Experience with common SaaS business processes including:

    • Pre-sales customer discovery and sales engineering

    • Onboarding and upgrading customer integrations to add new channels and/or features 

    • Managing for key performance indicators and impact analysis of technical decisions

    • Identifying customer cohorts, setting benchmarks and making comparisons

    • Pricing and service delivery based on subscriptions vs. professional services

    • Managing customer feature requests and custom development
